More than likely they are a scammer that has slipped through our security filter.
Slinky operates a anti-fraud system to eliminate fraudulent users signing up as members and then swindling other unsuspecting members.
Slinky has always only been open to Australian residents, but had been swamped with scammers trying to join from places like Nigeria and Russia trying to hide their locations pretending to be in Australia by using local post codes or telephone details that turned out to be false.
They contact unsuspecting members promising that they are on their way to Australia, but just need some short term financial help.
Our sophisticated fraud system identifies potential scammers using any of the common fraudster tricks. If the score is too high they get rejected.
